This meteorite fell to earth on the February 12th 1947 in the Sikhote-Alin mountains which is in the Primorsky Krai region of Russia.

This fall was witnessed as a bright streak across the sky with a smoke trail approximately 18 miles long.  As it hurtled toward the earth it exploded mid air and created tens of thousands of pieces of meteorite shrapnel.  These specimens are  examples of this Meteoric shrapnel.

You will receive TWO pieces of Sikhote-Alin housed in a 1.25 inch gem jar which also has an identification label added to it.
